Long Passage Ahead

I’m just at the fuel dock, in Bahia del Sol, El Salvador prepping for the 500 mile passage to Huatulco. We have a good weather window right now, and thought we’d take advantage of it. We’ll be at least five days at sea and will be travelling with Iwalani, our friends from Hawaii. Our diesel mail (SSB email) is up and running again, so I’ll try to post while we’re underway.

If you’re reading this then you didn’t get eaten by a giant squid or washed overboard by a tsunami so… welcome back to Mexico.

Thx Mr. Obvious. I’m really glad we made it here in one piece. That was pretty scary, and probably counts as my worst moment on a boat ever. It could have been entirely prevented, though.

BTW, a boat (a Hunter 45) in the slip across from us and who arrived the same time as us was dismasted!! The crew on that boat are not looking very happy.
