Chris Gailey, a veteran software developer, has spent the majority of his career working with the 3-D graphics software firm, Alias Systems Corporation (acquired by Autodesk in 2006). As an early employee, Chris was an integral team member on a number of innovative version one products, in particular, Alias’ flagship product, the Academy Award winning 3-D character animation software, “Maya”. In addition to Maya, Chris also made major contributions to: “Alias Sketch!”, “ImageStudio” and “PortfolioWall”.
From 2004 to 2006, Chris moved overseas and managed the Alias | Wavefront Indian software development office in Bangalore.
Prior to this, he co-founded Crucial Technologies, a company which developed finite element analysis products.
Chris holds a Bsc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Anita Buehrle ♦ Information Design and Usability
Anita has over 15 years experience in software development. She began as a technical writer at the X Windows server company, Hummingbird, and later at Algorithmics Inc. where she managed the documentation department, overseeing and designing the online help, as well as the written user and tutorial guides for their flagship product, RiskWatch – a product used by the world’s leading investment banks.
Anita also worked several years in the wireless industry, leading a QA team in the testing of a graphics engine and a J2EE-based content server. This startup was subsequently acquired by Research in Motion, and its technology used to power the first generation of colour-screen graphical user interfaces for Blackberry devices.
Since then, she has been testing, designing and marketing iOS mobile apps. She and Chris launched their first iPhone app, Dividend Predictor, in the spring of 2012.
She holds an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Toronto.
